Why Upgrade SBT VisionPoint to Spire? Features! First in an occasional series.
Integrated email.
Since my last email blast many have asked about specific Spire features that distinguish Spire from your SBT VisionPoint. The feature SBT VisionPoint users want more than any other is the ability to email forms (bids, orders, invoices, POs and statements of account) as attached PDF documents. Visionpoint cannot not do this without the expensive (but excellent and available) Liaison Messenger module. Spire can email everything. For some of you, gaining this one feature is sufficient reason to retire SBT VisionPoint and go with Spire.
The benefits of emailing forms are large. First, the process of printing invoices (and statements) and stuffing envelopes takes employee time, postage costs add up and delivery is slow. Emailing forms takes little labor, costs nothing and delivery is instantaneous. Big benefit!
Your customers (and vendors) increasingly appreciate emailed forms more than paper forms and customers are more likely to pay an electronic invoice on time than a paper invoice. Emailed bids are seen by customers immediately and are more likely to became sales than paper bids. And emailed forms are perceived to be more professional than paper now than in the past. Perceptions count.
Spire Systems emails all forms and does it intelligently. Spire knows which customers want email forms and which want paper. Spire emails those that should be emailed and prints to paper those that should be ‘snail’ mailed. This works for invoices, orders, purchase orders and statements of account.
Here we see a Spire Customer window with the customer’s invoice delivery preference circled. Set this once and Spire remembers.
Spire makes it easy to email an invoice and a statement of account (and a bid and a purchase order). Click the “Print”button and, in this case, check the “Invoice” and “Customer Statement” boxes. Click the “Email” button and Spire sends the invoices (and statements of account).
Spire lets you attach text from a template so that the recipient knows what he is receiving and why.
Spire offers the SBT VisionPoint user much more than integrated email. In future emails, I will identify and describe other Spire features that SBT VisionPoint users will find attractive and profitable.
